Contenders who successfully complete the Frog Graham Round are invited to submit their application to join the FGR Club. Once validated, your name will be added to the Roll of Honour and a completion certificate will be issued in your name. To put this in context, over the last 20 years approximately 230 contenders have successfully completed the round and just five of those were during winter months. We do not give completion certificates away lightly, they have to be earned the hard way.
If you wish to check your GPS data prior to submitting it for ratification, the simplest way is to use the Ratification Tool. This produces a checkpoint-by-checkpoint breakdown of your round (the same as the official form) and makes it easier to prepare your application.
When you submit, please include:
The date of completion, with start/finish times and summit/checkpoint splits
Most importantly, a valid GPS trace of your round to support your application (preferably .gpx format**)
If possible, a short account of your day, noting if you were solo or had support on the fells and/or in the water
Names of any supporters, plus public links to records such as Garmin Connect or Strava if available
** Modern multi-sport watches such as the Garmin Fenix often record FGR attempts as multiple GPX files, meaning separate files for the various run/swim legs. This can make ratification difficult, so please take the time before your round to ensure you have the means to submit a single file. The simplest way to do this - using Garmin Connect as an example - it to export the file in either .tcx or .fit format
Please email your completed form and GPS file to secretary@froggrahamround.co.uk for validation. The lifetime membership fee of £10.00 is payable via PayPal only and payment will be requested once validation is complete, along with details of your postal address so that we can dispatch your certificate.
Your membership fee helps pay for the annual website hosting fees, production/postage of completion certificates and assorted other small expenses. The club is a non-profit making organisation and in the event of funds ever exceeding requirements, an appropriate contribution will be made to a Lake District Charity.
